OCWA team members received three top awards last week at the New York Section of the American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA) 2026 New York Water Event in Saratoga Springs, New York. The event is a four day drinking water conference that includes committee meetings and sessions, trainings, vendor displays, and regulatory agency presentations and has a large attendance of more than 900 water utility employees, vendors, and regulatory personnel. The presented awards were as follows:
- OCWA received the 2026 Safety Award for showing outstanding initiative in the area of safety and injury prevention
- Our Water Distribution Manager, Ty Koster, was named Young Professional of the Year in the utility category
- OCWA’s team came in 2nd place in the Top Ops Competition, a contest for teams of water operators from around the state
