OCWA — Central New York’s Water Authority — Awarded Honors at the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference

Members of OCWA — Central New York’s Water Authority — recently attended the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference and Exposition in Toronto, Ontario, where they were honored to receive two awards.

OCWA’s Lake Ontario Water Treatment Plant was recognized with the First Year Presidents Award by The Partnership for Safe Water.  This award recognizes a water treatment plant that successfully demonstrates the highest level of filtration performance.  The second award recognized the Otisco Lake Water Treatment Plant.  The Partnership for Safe Water’s Phase III 25-Year Director’s Award recognizes a water treatment plant’s commitment to superior water quality.  The Partnership for Safe Water’s award-winning utilities demonstrate an outstanding commitment to delivering quality drinking water and to continuously optimizing treatment plant and distribution system operation and performance.
