Some of the most plentiful drinking water sources on the planet can be found right here in Central New York.  Our local health and well-being are supported by safe and reliable water supplies, as well as the water professionals working to deliver drinking water to the community.

In honor of 2023 National Drinking Water Week, OCWA — Central New York’s Water Authority — held a poster contest for Central New York students in 2nd through 8th grades.  This year’s theme was “Why is water important?”

We received many excellent posters from students throughout our territory.  It was a tough decision, but our two first place winners are:

Stella Eichenlaub (East Syracuse Elementary School) – Elementary School Division
Lili Martin (Camillus Middle School) – Middle School Division
