Did you know OCWA gives presentations in schools and hosts field trips for local students? Since the start of the school year, OCWA has been visiting several elementary and middle schools across Central New York to teach students about the water cycle, as well as water safety and conservation.
The picture featured above was taken during a presentation to a class of elementary students who recently toured the Otisco Water Treatment Plant and participated in a lessen on how water is cleaned at OCWA.
If you are an educator, principal, or camp instructor interested in obtaining more information about how OCWA can help teach your students about clean drinking water, the water cycle, or careers at OCWA, please contact OCWA’s General Counsel and Director of Public Education, Megan Thomas, at mthomas@ocwa.org.
