Work at Fairmount Reservoir continues and the first of two new 6MG tanks takes shape. The pre-cast concrete wall panels have all been lifted into place, seamed together and the first layers of wire and concrete have been applied. The scaffolding and formwork is in place for about half of the roof, which will be constructed in a few weeks time. Below the surface nearly all of the new piping has been installed and connected to the existing transmission lines. Work is now focused on building a new flow control facility that will improve water quality through the reservoirs by making sure the water circulates through both tanks evenly.
